The Teams of the Tahoe Grizzlies
Travel Information
Traveling from arena to arena to face opponents across the NorCal region is the highlight of what our youth hockey players get to do, and while the Tahoe Grizzlies has players across the High Sierra region, it’s important to know the travel and time commitment necessary.
Each of our teams practice at our home arena, the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena, twice a week during the August-February season. Our season begins in late August and runs through February, with Norcal Playoffs and California State Championship, if the Grizzlies qualify. During the regular season, the Tahoe Grizzlies play games and tournaments over various weekends.
Many of our Tahoe Grizzlies families grow close and help each other out with travel to and from practice, games, and tournaments, and we love to see these families become one!
Scholarships
Coming together for the kids, the communities and the growth of ice hockey in our region, The Tahoe Grizzlies are here for the overall betterment of our region. By attracting youth athletes from South Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Carson City, and beyond, we have the opportunity to make a significant positive impact.
